Process of establishing the World Youth Bank Network officially started at the WAY «European Youth Dialogue» Global Youth Summit 23-28. March, 2002. Brijuni Islands CROATIA."EYD official statement". Concept of the World Youth Bank is based upon the «Declaration of Youth as a Global Banking & Financial Resource», which was presented and widely appreciated at the UN Global Youth Summit in Dakar, Senegal, in August 2001, promoted at YES Summit in Boston, October 2001, reffered to at the Geneve Youth Conference in November 2001.and supported and promoted on the YES preparatory working-table in New York, January 2002. «Declaration of Youth as a Global Banking & Financial Resource» was originally prepared by Croatian National Youth Council’s Alpha think-tank team International Economic, Management and Education Boards, along with the Marketing and Business Intelligence Departments, which represent five constituent executive bodies of the WYB International Organizing Committee. Implementation period for establishing of the fully operational and world-wide present World Youth Bank Network is 2-5 years. During this period WYB project is being developed and operates within the framework of activities of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and in permanent communication with UN DESA related divisions in New York.
In 2005 World Youth Bank project development was presented as highlighted side event of 60th United Nations General Assembly (marked by UN WPAY + 10 revisions) with major WYB appearance expected at the 62nd UN GA in 2007 (perspective adoption of the World Youth Bank as one of key global policy-instruments for successfull UN WPAY implementation).
